Meritor and SKF named Penske parts suppliers of the year for 2014

Meritor Australia and SKF have been named as Penske Commercial Vehicles’ parts suppliers of 2014.

Meritor won Parts Supplier of the Year while SKF took home the Innovative Parts Supplier of the Year,Award.

Both companies received a trophy for their efforts.

The awards recognise excellence in overall parts support to Penske Commercial Vehicles and the dealer network.

Meritor managing director Matt Wolfe says the company "is extremely proud" to win the Parts Supplier of the Year Award.

"Operating from our facility in Melbourne, and partnering with the PCV [Penske Commercial Vehicles] parts dealer network provides a wide opportunity to ensure that aftermarket parts are available locally to fleet and owner-driver operations," he says.

SKF sales manager Alan Ryder says the company looks forward to continuing to work with Penske.

"We pride ourselves in delivering value to the dealer network and appreciate the recognition that has been given to us," Ryder says.

"As part of our ongoing commitment, SKF will continue to provide programs and initiatives that will set us apart in the industry."

Penske’s parts department and the parts staff of the dealer network are tasked with voting for the winners.
